TREE TOP WALK SUNGAI SEDIM

Along the walk there are pit stops where the height of the canopy is displayed.

The sights of the canopy walk are accompanied by the sounds of the flowing river below.

The bridge is made out of metal, but still a thrilling experience looking down.

In the northern state of Kedah lies one of the highest tree top bridges in Malaysia, the Tree Top Walk Sungai Sedim. Almost 1 kilometer long, it was built within the lowland of Gunung Inas Forest Reserve. The bridge itself is 50 meters above ground level and it is quite a sight as, through the mesh under your feet, you can see the ground below! It’s certainly not for the faint of heart and a worthwhile experience to have. Along the walk, you could see bamboo trees over 10 meters high, palm trees hiding in the shade of the forest, fern trees growing on other trees, fruits all over tree trunks and other wondrous natural flora.

If you’re afraid of heights, there are other activities to enjoy at the Tree Top Walk. You can take a dip in the crisp and clear river below. The water would be ideally refreshing after a long day of jungle trekking especially in our tropical weather. Among the things you could do at the river includes white water rafting, kayaking and river tubing.

For the more competitive visitors, there are paintball war games available. If you’re not up to that but still would like to give it a go, paintball target shooting practice is also provided. Other highlights for this destination includes nature camps where you learn survival skills and living in the wild, abseiling where you scale tall wooden walls, weave traditional bertam leaves and many other team-building activities.

For the canopy walk, the entrance fee is RM10 per person. There is a campsite available that can accommodate up to 80 people at any time. Other facilities include seven dormitory type accommodations with attached toilets and bathrooms with shower. Each dorm can have up to 14, 16 and 24 persons and each room have lockers, pillows, bed sheets and blankets available. Standard rooms are also available but they are limited and are available on a first-come, first-served basis.
